Joining the Club

CAN I BOOK A TASTER SESSION ONLINE?

Unfortunately not, taster sessions can only be booked in via the office. Please email info@vivacegymnastics.com

IM NOT A MEMBER, CAN I COME AND WATCH A SESSION

For our recreational sessions - You can watch a session providing you wish to watch a session instead of having a taster session. Please be aware our viewing areas are fairly small at our recreational venue and priority of seats will go to current members parents.

For our squad sessions - we do not have a viewing area therefore we cant offer parents to come and watch

​I WANT A TASTER TODAY CAN I BOOK

Taster sessions can only be booked via the office and they need to manually set you up for the trial. Once you have had confirmation the trial or taster is set up, payment will need to be made for the taster. Once payment has been made then the taster session will hold your space for the session and your child can attend. If the above is able to be done in a day then yes it can organised. If you don’t receive confirmation of the office, the taster will not be booked. The taster will need to wait until the next available session.

​IS THERE ANY OTHER COSTS INVOLVED

Once a year there is a affiliation fee for £10 charged once per child registered to a class. You will also need to ensure you have the club leotard.

Class Information

CAN I HAVE SOME INFORMATION ON RECREATIONAL CLASSES

For our recreational classes - For most classes they are block booking only. Sessions cost £13.00 per hour. You can opt for a taster session first, please email the office. We also require all gymnasts preschool and up to have British gymnastics membership.

For our squads - please email in regarding our price bands

CAN I CHANGE MY CLASS

For our recreational classes - We can change your class over once per term. But please be reminded we cannot change you back to your old until the class finishes. You do risk the class filling up and your place being lost.

For our squad classes - our squads train set days so you will be unable to change your classes over

DO MY TERMLY BOOKED SESSIONS RUN IN HALF TERM

All termly sessions stop during school holidays. All booked classes will show on your calendar in your parent portal. If there is not a class showing on your calendar then the class isn’t on.

WHEN DO WE BREAK UP FOR HALF TERM OR END OF TERM

All booked classes can be found on the parent portal under calendar. If there is not a class showing on your calendar then there is no class running.

IS RENEWAL AUTOMATIC AND WHAT DO I NEED TO DO

For our recreational classes - We do not offer automatic renewal. Usually around 3 – 4 weeks before the end of the term we will email out to all current members to let them know the next terms classes. You will need to go into the store and book your next terms sessions. You will receive priority in your child’s current class. Should you wish to move class you will be added to that days waitlist and only be accepted into the class once priority season has ended and you are next on the waitlist.

For our squad classes - they run on an automatic rolling direct debit, there is no need to do anything further once its set up.

DO YOU DO MAKE UP SESSIONS FOR APPOINTMENT OR ILLNESS

Unfortunately not, should you miss a session we are unable to swap or offer makeup sessions, refunds or credits.

​CAN I STAY AND WATCH MY CHILDS SESSION?

WHAT HAPPENS IF I ARRIVE 15 MINUTES CLASS

If you arrive with your child after the warm up has finished, you will be turned away and marked as absent with no refund or credit provided. The warm up is an integral part of the session and is imperative that you arrive on time to warm up to ensure your childs body is warm and ready to train safely

DO YOU DO SIBLING DISCOUNT

For our recreational sessions - no unfortunately we do not offer sibling discount 

For our squad sessions - yes we do offer a sibling discount, this will automatically be calculated once your direct debit has been added to your account.

ARE YOUR GYMNASTICS CLASSES MIXED

For our recreational sessions - yes all sessions are mixed

For our squad sessions - we only offer womens artistic with a tumbling add on currently so these are only available for female gymnasts

CAN I DROP AND GO

Yes, all sessions you can drop and go other than parent and toddler as parent or guardian attendance is mandatory. We advise for our preschool sessions that parents stay on site until your little ones are comfortable and until they can go to the toilet by themselves.

WHAT DO YOUR RECREATIONAL PROGRAMME  ENTAIL 

Our recreational programme has different focuses, term 1's main focus is working towards our annual club championship competition which is a friendly inhouse competition, term 2 terms main focus is our performance awards and term 3 focuses on skill acqusition.

WHAT ARE YOUR PERFOMANCE AWARDS

Performance Gymnastics Awards consists of four categories: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond, with Bronze being the first for gymnasts to complete and Diamond being the last. Within each of these categories there are six levels of award to achieve with gymnasts starting on ‘Level 1’ and concluding with ‘Level 6’. Each level of award consists of ten different skills ranging from core gymnastics proficiencies to elements involving strength, flexibility, co-ordination and balance.

 

After completing each level of award (e.g. Bronze Level 1) a certificate is achieved. Once a gymnast completes all six levels in a category (i.e. they achieve their Bronze Level 6 award), they are rewarded with a medal.

 

We also have three awards available for pre-school gymnasts. They complete their Bronze Pre-School, Silver Pre-School and Gold Pre-School awards and earn their medal upon completion of the latter.

We choose this because : 

- Artistic gymnastics is well-reflected, apparatus (e.g. vault/beam) based skills are included at all levels of award
- Purpose designed to utilise the present-day gymnastics environment, training tools (flick modules/beam pods etc) form a part of our awards 
- The awards include core gymnastics skills as well as productive elements to develop strength, flexibility and coordination all of which are designed with the overall progress of gymnasts in mind
- Pair or group balance work is included at all levels of the award scheme, allowing gymnasts to both have fun and develop their teamwork skills
- The scheme begins at pre-school level and extends all the way up to approximately level 5 skills (round-off flick, handspring vault etc), giving the gymnasts a clear method to track their progression in the sport

IVE LEFT SOMETHING AT THE GYM

We have a lost property box by the front door, please feel free to search the box. After a period of time the lost property box is cleared if the items are not collected.

​DO YOU OFFER HOLIDAY CAMPS OVER ALL HOLIDAYS

For sessions at our bromley venue - we run holiday camps in the feb, may half term. Plus also running in Easter, Summer, October and over christmas. Usually we run Monday - Friday. 

For squad holiday sessions - we run squad camps in the Easter, Summer and October Half Term

WHAT ARE YOUR HOLIDAY CAMP HOURS

For holiday sessions at Bromley - AM slot 9-12:30, for Full Day slot 9-4 and for PM slot 13:00-16:00

For squad holiday sessions - 10:00-15:00

HOW DOES YOUR ANNUAL CLUB CHAMPS  WORK

We will automatically enroll all club members into our club championships unless you opt out. You will be emailed giving a deadline to opt out. Once that deadline has passed you will be charged for entry. This is non-refundable. We will then email out rounds and ticket information. Your tickets are also non-refundable.

DO YOU OFFER PRE LOVED LEOTARD

We have a pre-loved leotard box at Bromley that you an browse through. 

If you have leotards that no longer fit you, please feel free to donate them in return for a £5.00 credit onto your parent portal. 

DOES MY CHILD NEED THEIR HAIR TIED BACK AND EARRINGS TAKEN OUT

Yes, all children must have their hair tied back suitably. We do not provide hairbands so please bring these with you. 

All children must have their earrings, preferably taken out but they can be taped if they are new. We do not provide tape so please have this done before you attend. 

All children must have all religious jewellery preferably taken off but they can be covered by wrist bands if necessary.
